Important Information

1. What This Document Is

The International Driving Document (IDD) we provide is a multilingual translation of your existing, valid driver's license. It comes in two formats:

  • A printed Translation Booklet
  • A Digital/Plastic Translation Card, which can include a smartphone-accessible digital copy of your license

This translation is only to help with language when you show your license abroad. It does not give you any driving rights.

2. What the IDD Is Not

2.1 The only government-issued document for international use is the IDP, which is issued only by government-authorized agencies or bodies.

2.2 The IDD is not an IDP, does not replace an IDP, and does not give you legal driving privileges.

2.3 The IDD cannot be used as ID and cannot be used as:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of driving rights
  • A replacement for your original license or an IDP

3. When You Use Our Services

By buying or using our services, you understand that:

  1. You must have a valid, government-issued driver's license in good standing.
  2. The IDD is not a government-issued document, not an IDP, and not an official photo ID.
  3. The IDD is a translation only and does not allow you to drive in the United States, Singapore, or anywhere else by itself.
  4. You are responsible for checking that the country you're visiting accepts translation documents like ours.

4. We're Not Affiliated With

We are:

  • Not linked to any government agency or public authority
  • Not endorsed by the American Automobile Association (AAA), the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), or any body that issues IDPs
  • Not connected to the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS), the Singapore Police Force, or any Singapore Government ministry or agency

We do not claim government approval or licensing in any country.

5. What We're Not Responsible For

We cannot guarantee that rental agencies, border officials, insurance providers, or anyone else will accept our translation. Using our services is at your own choice and risk.

Where the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • Rejections by others
  • Misuse of the IDD
  • Any confusion about what the IDD is or isn't
